Skate Lessons - Individual & Groups

We use the principles of behavior analysis to implement skills training during lessons with our clients. We have a unique approach in that our skate instructors are also Behavior Technicians under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) trained to implement applied behavior analysis. We utilize the scientific method to systematically identify skill deficits and strengths to teach your child safety and skateboarding proficiency. We can teach a beginner who has never touched a skateboard and we can teach those seeking to take their skills to the next level!

Frustration is a common occurrence ranging from first starting to skate all the way to the pro level. We use a task analysis tool to identify weak areas in your child’s skate repertoire. Then create a unique intervention strategy catered to your individual child’s needs. One of our skilled behavior skaters will then teach your child using the data driven methods supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Our team of Behavior Skaters have nearly 2 decades of experience skateboarding and their training in therapy allow them to tackle lessons from a unique angle to maximize not just the value they get through learning skateboarding but also can apply it to life skills and positive psychology as well.

Group lessons function in much the same way but shift the focus to a group goal which can foster a community amongst our learners and allow interpersonal motivations to push them to the next level. Everyone can use a friend to skate with!
