COVID 19 – Why Protect yourself

Covid-19 Protocol

For Staff:

  • All staff members must wear masks at all times, including around clients and their families
  • All staff must wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds often and don’t share items with clients and their families
  • Staff must disinfect all tools and equipment upon the completion of use
  • The targeted use of disinfectants can be done effectively, efficiently and safely on outdoor hard surfaces and objects frequently touched by multiple people.
  • Staff and patients of clients must stay at least 6 feet away when necessary to prevent the virus that causes COVID-19.
  • Staff must continuously use hand sanitizer or other supplies to maintain proper hygiene around clients
  • Staff will maintain a 6 feet margin between them, and other clients and masks must be on at all times
  • Extra masks must be readily available for staff who walk into the facilities without masks, or their masks have been worn out.
  • If staff is showing signs of COVID-19, they must stay home and report their symptoms to the Department of Health for the State of NJ. They must also follow the 14 day quarantine as a mandatory precaution by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
  • If staff test positive for COVID-19, they will need to follow CDC guidelines and must follow up with taking a test 14 days after the positive diagnosis. They will inform other staff and families of the clients of the diagnosis and for them to also get further testing.
      • Staff who have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 are not required to quarantine or get tested again as long as they do not develop new symptoms.
  • Staff will be given mandatory temperature checks on a daily basis. If temperature exceeds 4, and staff shows cough, shortness of breath, staff will stay home for 14 days and will take a COVID test 14 days after isolation.
  • Staff and family members who have traveled outside the state (DEPENDING ON STATE OF TRAVEL) will need to isolate themselves for 14 days and provide the company with a negative COVID test result before being coming for treatment.

For Clients:

  • If Clients test positive for COVID-19, they will need to follow CDC guidelines and must follow up with taking a test 14 days after the positive diagnosis. They will inform our staff of the diagnosis and for them to also get further testing.
  • Clients and family members who have traveled outside the state (DEPENDING ON STATE OF TRAVEL) will need to isolate themselves for 14 days and provide the company with a negative COVID test result before being coming for treatment.
  • Extra masks must be readily available for clients who walk into the facilities without masks, or their masks have been worn out.
  • When a client or their family bring pets into the facility, all clients and families will be required to have sanitizers present with them at all times to prevent the spread of the virus.
      • The company will provide sanitizers and masks at all outpatient sessions if clients and their family members do not have sanitizers
  • If a client begins to sneeze or show signs of fever, an emergency protocol will take place
      • The sessions will be put on hold, clients and their families will be asked to report all symptoms to their state Department of Health and begin the quarantine process along with testing for a negative result.
